The Church That Left The Building One Sunday

When most people think of church today they think of a church building. It has a steeple, a cross in the front of the sanctuary, or some other emblem of importance, and pews stacked one behind the other in 2 rows. When we are asked "do you go to church anywhere" we take it to mean "do you go to a church building anywhere?" What we find in Scripture, however, is that the word "church" never referred to the actual building-but to the people. The Christians at Corinth, for instance, were told that they were the church/body of Christ, "and members individually" (1Cor. 12:27). The church was a living organism and not an inanimate object. Since this is true, the church (or the people) can leave the church building at any time and still function 100% as Christ's church! And on June 29th, 2008 the Brunswick Church of Christ did just that! (read more)

From "The Bachelor" to "Joe Millionaire" to talk shows, people are obsessed with relationships. But the only relationship that will give the security, love, and wholeness everyone is looking for is the only Perfect Man, Jesus Christ.

Life is full of preparation.  We prepare for college, weddings, graduations, tests and anniversaries. But how much preparation do we put into death? Are we prepared to die? This commercial asks the question we all have to ask one day: Am I prepared to die?
