Many things we must learn the hard way but it would be better to learn from those that have gone before us so that we do not repeat the same mistakes.
In the book of Proverbs Solomon gives some wise advice to his sons regarding life on earth. Solomon's life was a life of hard knocks but through his many proverbs he sought to set up his children for a narrow walk with the Lord.
